Flyness In Hip Hop/Does It Belong?

Whats really hood? For years rappers have bragged and boasted, stunted & flossed...but why? Is it necessary? Some say it is to prove something to one's self (usually a not so very fly individuals remark), but the others..the kool kids...ask have you ever put a crispy pair of J's on that set your entire ensemble thru the roof? Or had stacks at your disposal? Now, the people that say flashiness does not have a home in hip hop, I ask you...are you a fan of The Ruler? Do you enjoy Hov? I bet you only like that grimy B.I.G, you probably think One More Chance was too commercial...but I'm here to drop a precious jewel on you real quick fast...Get some bread, run thru the mall droppin off cash like it's coated in anthrax to the point where if your outfit clicked anymore somebody might get the impression you had a little style to ya...then blaze an L..hit the pad or booth & lemme know how inspired you feel to tell a tale of darkness & deceit. They brag because they feel like the shit, and they boast because they want you to know it. Try it sometime...there you go consider it your contribution to the economy.

  1. if you put it in that perspective, cool, sounds even fun.I would say it does have its place, just not at the forefront, specially in times like these.I love slick rick, not that big jay or b.i.g fan,but slick rick totally tore my world up..when I was 14,SO,we might imply it's like zits,a phase required when you're growing up,but let's face it,a 35 yr.old flosser is not the hottest thing out there.
