Review Of Cheer by Large Professor

Artist: Large Professor

Large Proffessor

Track: Cheer

Production: Dela

Rating: 4.5/5

I can't front on Xtra P, In my opinion he is one of the few true triple threats in the game, by that I mean dope Producer, MC & Dee Jay. And after all the years in the game, Large Pro can still do damage on the mic. LP handed production on this track to French Producer Dela who steps up to the plate effortlessly with a laidback track with nice horn samples, wah wah sound effects and a lovely warm bass line. The track actually sounds like Large did it himself and would have fit nicely on his own long player "1st Class". If your a fan of real hip hop and your not feeling this then your not a fan of real hip hop.

Classic Gem-Jugganots "Clear Blue Skies"

Here's a treat for all you real heads...this isn't bling a ling rap, and it doesnt have a t-pain auto tune hook, no kingpin brick movin' references, and it damn sure doesnt have a guest appearence by Weezy. This is a prime example of HIP HOP...real hip hop. Serch, thanks for puttin me up on game homie.

NAS VS LIL WAYNE?

Today at work I walked into a conversation where the argument was over who the better MC was NAS or LIL WAYNE, now to me (a hip hop head) this was a no brainer, Nas obviously has more talent in his left nut than Wayne does in his whole body, but an argument is an argument so I sat back and listened to these 3 dudes talk about "Wayne has more swag" "Wayne sold amilli in a week" "Wayne is my second cousin's baby momma's brother", and as I listened I noticed the one person in the room who defended Nas (as if he needed it) say "Who will be relevant in 20 years?" which I thought long and hard about, duhh it will be Nas, not that Wayne will be forgotten but Nas is a fuckin legend (thank Serch for the find)and wayne is a rapper that has hyped people up sooooo much that even if his verse didnt make any sense whatsoever people would think there was a hidden meaning that was ingenius....it straight up gets under my skin!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK BLOGSPOT?

EXCLUSIVE-T.I. & Justin Timberlake-Dead and Gone

I was feelin this track when I copped Paper Trail..I had that gut feeling it would end up being a single. Pretty glad to see they made a video for it. I hope T.I keeps his head strong during his incarceration, something tells me he'll do just fine. You know, I had the pleasure of meeting T.I in a back room interview in Detroit, and he was a very cool composed, and friendly dude. You can peep that great 4 part interview at www.youtube.com/serchlitemusic. But back to the track...the only thing they should have done different is Timberlakes verse at the end...the whole north east west thing he does is kinda whack..but other than that its a decent track. What up doe Blogspot?....Now I come to you with a question which i hope you will answer with sincere honesty, Years and years ago when we were youngsters transplanted from Michigan to grow up in Tennessee I happend to meet up with a stand up individual who always either good or bad was goal oriented, now as we grew older he devised a plan or a dream if you will, to take his ideas and drawings and put them to use in t-shirts, now here we are close to 10 years later and the website is up and running me and him both are back in Michigan, we have connections and his business ethic is A+, now what I dont understand is why people are somewhat ignoring the product?.....hit up www.rollemswol.com and check it out, come back and let me know HONESTLY what YOU think

EXCLUSIVE-Kanye West ft. Kid Cudi-Welcome To HeartBreak

Yeeeaaahhh(Ben Stein monotone) I'm still undecided if Kanye singing is whack or just so new and different that it's misunderstood...dunno kinda leaning more towards the gay end (no offense I'm not a homophob I'm just sayin). He goes in most of the time, but he kinda comes across like there's some sugar granules floating in his tank. Do you think if he wasnt a Hov protege he would have been as successful? I dont...other than his will to win..I think he wouldnt have made it without being picked up by the big homie. This video is pretty dope but the song???? I'm really not feeling the singing...since I'm outtin this fool...lemme give him 2 snaps and a twist HATED IT (You know how I know ur gay?? Everytime you show your face in public people question your sexuality because you dress, talk, walk, and act like a FLAMER. Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck type a thing I reckon.)

D-Boy Rap??????

What up doe Blogspot??.....I really dont want to come into this blog straight off by blasting a certain genre, espeacially one in the Hip-Hop industry, but how many D-boy rappers can we have in the game saying and doing the same shit over and over before we as the consumers realize that the game is over saturated with this shit?...now im not saying this kid is wack or talentless but COME ON!!! Im done hearing Young Jeezy, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, and the countless others carbon copied with a nice photoshopped album cover put on the shelf as the next big thing. This is a trend in hip-hop that obviously works due to the fact that they still keep comming out with new acts, and as a fan of the lyrics , the style, and the grace that it takes to be a truley great M.C. I am fed up with this shit....TELL ME HOW YOU FEEL BLOGSPOT!!!!

50 Cent Droppin Jewels

what up what up..
today I heard Fitty's new track "I Get It In", and it thought it was ahhh well alright, typical sing songish hook with Fif just mush mouthin' his way thru the bars like a 40 year old drunk fat guy on bar row during happy hour. What I did like was a drop I heard at the end of the track, here Fifty stated something along these lines "This is something my Grandfather always told me...U should never waste time talking to those worse of then you. What do they have to offer you? What can u learn from a mu**cka doing less than you, Only talk with people that can teach you something" Now that is not a direct quote, but pretty close. Do you agree with that statement? I dont really condone it because in my mindframe..it shouldnt be what they can do 4 you but rather what you can do for them (shout out to JFK), but holla at me, lemme know how you feel.

A well produced double timed Hip Hop Grime track coming from Midlands UK MC/Producer Kid Rad, like the fact that he is spitting in his own accent not trying to sound like a Londoner and has a nice flow. Taken from his double Mix CD "Flying The Flag" which is available now.

Is Reggaeton Hip Hop??

Peace fam...whats poppin? This topic came about, because I was amazed at the mass appeal of the global hip hop influence. Below I have attatched a video by Tego Calderon & Don Omar "Bandoleros"...this track falls in my top 20 cuts ever..and the funny thing is I have no idea what the fuck the song is about. Which brings this question..in other countries where english is not spoken (no..english isnt primary everywhere) all they see is the swagger, and hear the music...like I did with this video, and its viral..they catch the hip hop bug (per sa). So I ask can a region adapt a culture, it did not originate? Hip Hop clearly started in the U.S (N.Y. to be exact) but has spread globally..and fast. But can regions that don't know what they say..imitate (for lack of better words...or is that a nice description?)what they see, put a twist on it and call it theirs..i.e rapping in spanish, and calling it reggaeton (shout out to mellow man ace)?

EXCLUSIVE-Saigon "The Rules"

Yo Whats Good...This is a dope ass return to real NY...Lovin' it, so dont consider what I'm about to say hatin'. This cut is leaked off Saigon & Statik Selektah's upcoming album All In A Day's Work. The album has a very dope concept, they recorded the whole damn thing in 24 hours.....would be a gem idea, but it's unoriginal. Yeah I said it, COPIED. I got 4 words for you, BIG PROOF/DJ JEWELS. Proof did this right before his untimely passing, although due to many legalities the album never surfaced. So Yiddy, take this with a grain of salt...BRING THE HEAT HOMIE. Exclusive Busta Rhymes & T-Pain "Hustlers Anthem"

Is it just me, or is Busta past his time? Lemme justify before you stone me. Dude is mad cool on the personal, but i dont like the turn Bussa Bus has taken in the past few years. I dont believe for a second that Busta is still "bubblin crack", or chillin with heavyweight drug traffickers. The fact that he jumped on the Crack Movin' Bandwagon actually hurts my feelings because Busta (circa 1990+) prized himself on individuality, and bein' a dick rider (well thats what jockin style is right) is out of what I thought his character was. This track is okay, but I'll let you be the judge....peep, Ima hit u wit the new shit, then immediately follow up with a classic album cut.

In Response To Previous Blog "Posse Cuts"

What Up Doe
Serch had previously blogged about The Top Ten Posse Cuts Of All Time...well my friend, you forgot 1. This ensemble is most definitely a rugged collaboration of some of the mid 90's dopest MC's..including a Mr. Nasir Jones at his lyrical prime. The track is titled "John Blaze" and it is featured on Fat Joe's album Don Cartagena.
Really well assembled, and the MC feature choice is insane..who woulda thought to throw the Chef, J the mwah, Esco, Crack, and Pun together? Who do you think went the hardest?

Gem Selection: Beatnuts "Watch Out Now"

Yo Yo
Heres a blast from the past...fuckin classic B. This joint nails all the elements of a raw track..the beat is crazy, flow infectious...and swag is phenominal. I think these fools may have been on the verge of the reggaeton invasion before there ever was a reggaeton invasion. I wish JuJu and Pshyco Les would drop some new shit, but I think I remember seein their faces on a vitamin D carton. Too bad great talent has a tendency to fade away and eventually become a memory.

Is Master P Partially Responsible???

As per my last post "Everyones Favorite Occupation" I bring some reasoning, and possible finger pointing. Master P could be to blame for everyone wanting to be a rapper. Now, he wasnt the first one to do the whole "independent" thing, but he was the first one that openly gave the plan away. I am personally holding Percy Miller responsible for the over saturation of WHACK in the rap game. Dont get me wrong I had a tank necklace, and I bought everything P dropped every tuesday for that summer of 90 something, but the majority of it was not lyrically sound, nor did it send a positive message. Good trunk rattling beats riddled the No Limit era, and it was good music to smoke to, but where I fault P is...he gave up too much info on the blueprint (*i.e. Do-It-Yourself Rap Mogul 101). Right around that time is when everybody wanted to be a "C.E.O", and own a "record label"...and please dont claim to be one if you dont know what those letters stand for. Immediately following that era is when all these bullshit basement rappers started dropping bum ass "mixtapes" and everyone in the fucking world got bit by the "I think I'm goona be Diddy Bug". See in every field of business there are certain things you just dont tell everyone (i.e. who has a recipe for McDonalds fries? or why cant you buy Capri Sun in a gallon jug??) So here comes P...he "inherits" some $$$ opens a record store, and recording studio, starts making records, presses them up himself, and says "fuck it I'll distribute them too" and makes a name for himself...then that motherfucker tells everyone in the whole world how he did it, brick by fucking brick...now kids everywhere save there dime sack flippin money and wanna be P. Thanks for the bombardment of bullshit we gotta filter thru to hear good shit Percy...UUUUGGGGHHHHHH lol

EveryOne's Favorite Occupation

What's Poppin? So I'm in the chair at the barbershop gettin my taper perfected, and I hear some cats talkin about they rap careers. This doesnt strike me as odd seeing how EVERYBODY WANTS TO BE A RAPPER. But it made me wonder...why is it that everybody wants to be a rapper? I know the flash, fame and loose women..but damn you ask anybody age 12-45 what they wanna be when they grow up and their answer is Snoop D.O. double G. I dont piss on anybodies campfire but wack muthafuckas put out wack shit. The scenario we are experiencing in the real estate market is similar to what is happening to hip hop...an over saturated market. U can go on any myspace page and hear WACK hip hop. I would never shoot down anybodies dream..if u wanna be a rapper more power to you, but alot of these fools have the special syndrome ( you know, elders telling u you're great and special when u cant spell by fifth grade) they kick drunk rhymes at house parties, and everyone feels 'em cause they're wasted too, so they watch hustle and flow, build a make shift studio, and drop a "mixtape"...yeah...ppsssssttt(fart sound). S.O.S PLEASE FILTER WACK RHYMES.

Under Rated Or Wack???

What up doe Blogspot?
I come to you with a song that I heavily enjoy, but when I let people hear his music they are either excited because they are hearing something usually that comes off as new or different or they are pissed and say this cat is over rated and wack. All of those are reasons I come to you with ONE cut off a DOUBLE ALBUM he released entitled "KILLER" the song is called "GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE" and features Paul Wall, and Popper...It is one of his more "mainstreamish" songs which is why i decided to post this particualr song, the artist which I am speaking of is Tech N9ne and I hold it in your hands to decide if he is Over Rated,Under Rated, or just plain ole Wack

Following In The Footsteps Of Greatness

Yo, no disrespect to my associate J.Rollemswol but i would have to disagree with the Asher Roth Post below this one, just because he;s white and was cursed with the same sound as Eminem doesn'y mean we should condemn him to the outskirts of the Hip-Hop border. In this post is another cut from "The Greenhouse Effect Mixtape" that he did with Dj Don Cannon and Dj Drama, it is yet another remix of "A Milli" that I feel he goes hard on (Pause)...as a huge Hip-Hop fan and someone who is aware that somewhere around 90% of Hip-Hop consumers are suburban white males, I and a hell whole lotta people can relate what this cat is lyrically saying (No Bling No Flash) just to the point on his life and the things that go along with it, besides Eminem was not the first white rapper nor will he be the last, Asher is just following the footsteps of greatness like Em did my associate M.C. Serch peep out this cut and let me know what you think

Asher Roth? Can There Ever Be Another WhiteBoy

Peace Baby,

I havent really given duke a chance but I've heard 3 cuts from this cat and red flags went up all over...we want slim shady back, not an imposter. RICK ROSS VS 50 CENT

I wondering out loud:

I just heard that 50 is going to dis Rick Ross and ruin his career “Just for the fun of it”. I was wondering if anyone really cares? If you do care than why should we let someone destroy a career just because? I know that Rick has had some questionable incidents but he seems to have gotten over them and should be given a chance. Why should we allow 50 to have all this power in the marketplace? Why should we let him have this much power over what people think about another rapper? Or is it even that serious? I am bringing it up because this is all I heard about on the radio today, well that and Michael Phelps smokes weed. Is it really this interesting that every on-air personality, whether on radio or satellite, gives this shine? Please let me know.

Serch
